*Rare Find: Well cared for professional trumpet with wonderful intonation in the high register. With fast valves, it is well built, with beautiful engraving and decorations on age darkened brass.
Professional B-flat trumpet by G. LeBlanc made in Paris, France in the 1960‘s. I purchased this from a symphony player a couple of years ago, but don’t use it enough to justify having it. Someone needs to give it a good home and play it to its full potential. It is in fine condition, with only one ding on the lead pipe, another on the bell curve, and a burnished place on one brace. The finish is not perfect, showing some signs of age, but nothing which effects the fantastic tone it produces. Although it is not marked, this is a large bore instrument.  In a slide comparison with my ML horns, this has a considerably larger diameter***. Original pistons are very good, no plating wear, and still with very good compression. Comes in a nice serviceable case with your choice of mouthpieces: Bach 7C or 10 1/2 C - used, but still very playable.

Made as a co-operative project between Holton/LeBlanc and Courtois, the LeBlanc trumpets were popular among Big Band and jazz players for more than three decades. Al Hirt, Conrad Gozzo, the Condoli brothers and many others. Big Al Hirt, was known to play the LeBlanc trumpet in his later years and this “Signature” horn, made in the mid 1960's, has great intonation and projection. You might be able to find an Al Hirt Ad, with his glowing endorseme
