Antique Ed Kruspe French Horn Circa 1900 Key F
This brass is no longer for sale (sold on 2009-12-06)
Price : US $1,100.
Up for auction is a circa 1900 Ed. Kruspe French horn. The markings read Ed. Krupe HRZGL?? (this was real hard to make out) L. M. Hoflieferant. Key is F, there is an extra section of tubing included. I assume that swapping the crooks would make it Eb?? I have had this serviced at local music store. Included are extra grease and oil for rotors and plates. Strings that operate rotors were replaced. Everything was cleaned and flushed and lacquer was removed, on the recommendation of restorer (I agree). So it should acquire a nice patina with a little time. Also included is an old HN White HSC in pretty good condition. Mouthpiece is a Conn #1. There are a few very minor dings that I didn't have pounded out. It looks like at two of the spots where the tubing is attached for stability, there may have been an old repair to strengthen or reattach, plus what looks like one minor old very small patch on the tubing near bell. For a hundred year old instrument this is a beauty. I am not much of a player, so ask questions and I'll do my best to answer.
International bidders- please check with me before you place a bid. I will ship to most countries but not everywhere. I can get a shipping quote BEFORE you bid.
