This is a 1932 Conn 44H trombone, serial number 286234, in quite good overall original condition. Physically, the only work that appears to have ever been done to the horn is in the tuning slide. There is some minor denting there that needs addressing. The handslide end bow is excellent, with just a ding on its side. As you can see in the photos, the fluted nickel-plated hand grip on the slide has come unsoldered and needs to be soldered back into place. There was no denting associated with this. The slide feels pretty nice except for one hitch which I think is associated with one ding on one leg of the outer slide. The inner tubes are in beautiful shape and have no plating wear on the stockings. The bell has just a couple of small dents up the flare, and the rim has only extremely light waviness to it. The horn is largely covered with its original lacquer, but this has deteriorated and is speckled. So the horn needs servicing and minor repair. Included is a Conn case that, though not original to the horn, is probably at most 15 years later vintage. It is in decent useable shape inside and out.
