VINTAGE 1945 Martin Committee Trumpet Original
Your Chance to own a part of history. This horn was and is the chosen model trumpet played by many of the giants of Jazz!! From Chet Baker, Lee Morgan, Booker Little, Miles Davis, to players like Chris Botti and Scott Wendholt today, they choose to play the vintage Martin Committe Trumpet. It is rare and hard to find one in this great condition. The horn has been looked over by Charlie Melk of the Brass Works. Charlie Melk is known well for making vintage replica leadpipes for these horns he did not see the need to replace the original leadpipe. That is great news considering the leadpipe and valves are the first few things to go after 50 years. They simply do not make horns like this any longer. The metal this horn is made from has playing characteristics that no horns made today have!!!!!! This is the medium bore horn and it Plays AMAZING! These trumpets have such a distintive quality to the sound. Words cannot describe the experience of playing one of these horns. Like no other trumpet I have played. All slides work as they should, valves are very smooth and fast in professional working order, although nickel valves do show some age spots, the trumpet plays good just as it is. Wonderful find..the scale on this horn is even and smooth. the upper register on this horn will make it perfect for the lead player or jazz player looking for a vintage horn. Low F# to G above doubl
