This is a Vintage Conn Model 90G Three Valve Trombonium. The serial number is N37309 and this dates it to 1970. This horn is really considered a valve trombone by the Conn company, the term trombonium was actually used by the King company. This has the same bore as an 88H slide trombone (.564 bore measured on the second valve tuning slide). Uses a large shank trombone mouthpiece. Made by CG Conn LTD Elkhart Ind USA (written on bell). Comes with the original Conn hard case.
This trombonium is being Sold As Is for a Fixerupper and could use some repairs to be in good playing condition. The main repair needed is the bell is dented near the base and there are a couple small tears in the brass (see pictures with arrows). The upper part of the bell and bell rim are in good condition as you can see. The other repair needed is that a few of the smaller tuning slides are stuck. The largest main tuning slide is free.
The three valves feel good and operate smoothly.
Other than the dent on the bell the rest of the horn is in good shape with only a few smaller dents and dings as you can see in the pictures, nothing too bad. There is some plating wear and scratches on the silver but overall a good looking horn. The leadpipe is in good shape.
