Here is a real vintage Conn Pan American Cornet outfit --- my guess is the late thirties/early forties. The original lacquer finish is almost completely gone --- maybe 15 to 20% remains -- most of the remaining lacquer is on the bell. The horn has several dings, but plays fine -- the valves work well, and all the tuning slides move freely. The mouthpiece is marked:  ''VINCENT BACH CORP, NEW YORK  10-1/2 C''. The engraving on the bell reads:  (Logo of the world) with ELKHART at the top and USA at the bottom. Beneath the logo, ''Pan American'' in cursive style lettering on a slanted banner. Serial number is146439. Case is worn, but in pretty good condition for it's age --- Both locks snap open, hinge is good and handle is intact. Has PanAmerican logo on the front of the case.
