This is a Classic Sousaphone made by the Olds Co. Its in Really nice shape. Its Fiberglass in a nice rich gold color. The fiberglass is not cracked and doesn't show any signs of repair. The valves move freely and the slides have been cleaned, polished and greased so they move freely. I own an instrument repair shop and have gone over this really nice sousaphone. I found it to be in good condition. The sound is really big and bold. The bell collar is perfectly round and the bell screws are all there. The inside of the bell has some discoloration, but nothing that effects the performance of this really nice instrument. This would be a great addition to your band, or if you are a student looking for a sousaphone to practice with at home and want one at school and one at home this is a rare opportunity to have both.  There is no case included.


These are getting harder to find. Olds had made some great instruments in there day and this is a wonderful example of one of them.
