Price : US $66.50

1923 Frank Holton Revelation Trombone. Serial # 77718. This trombone plays well with a nice bright sound. The bell is 7 inches. The slide is smooth and free and the tuning slide is free, however, the slide will need some attention as will the rest of the horn. This instrument could use a trip to the shop for a tune up and minor dent removal. It is stamped LP for low pich (A=440). The engraving is beautiful and sharp. The stockings are solid copper and extend longer down one side than the other. The mouthpiece is a Frank Holton, number 1, made in Elkhorn Wis. as was the horn. The mouthpiece silver plating is getting thin in a few spots. Frank Holton was a first trombonist under John Phillip Sousa before he began manufacturing instruments. There is a case but it isn't much more than something to use for shipping. The case reads, ''Yale University Band''. There is no reserve.
