I have had this horn since I began studying music in 1998.  I don't have a lot of use for it, simple because I don't play many jazz gigs anymore.  With that said, I really hate to sell it.  The horn is beautiful.  It plays with a lighter feel, but the lows are solid and dark.  The highs SOAR.  I have more range on this flugelhorn than I ever did on any of my trumpets.  The valves are light and smooth (I think the valves are this horns greatest characteristic).  It blows really easily and the intonation is superb.  This would be a great horn for any serious professional or music student.  Courtois bleeds quality and this horn is no exception.


The silver is 100%.  There is one small dent on the left small tubing (pictured).  No case, but I will pack/ship with much care and would prefer it be insured.
