Just in time for TUBA CHRISTMAS!
Blow them all away with this gigantic Holton three valve BBb tuba; serial number 342606. The serial number suggests 1961 but it has the look and feel of the late twenties replete with dents and a fine raw brass patina. The valve section as you can see is pretty clean and dent free. The backside shows typical flattening over a long and storied parade career or perhaps a tangle or two in a rough jazz joint. The bottom bow is also dented with the guard separated in one section but in no danger of falling off.
Pristine it ain't but if you like a rough and tumble horn with a great sound, this Holton can't be beat. The recording bell offers oustanding projection and a resonable target for the candy throwing crowd The sheet metal is heavy and resonant.
Included is a set of tuning bits so that you can find a comfortable marching position--you can cover 20 other horms with this thing. You will rumble the bottom part at TUBA CHRISTMAS and no doubt re-arrange the hairdos of the euphonium players.
