You are bidding on a a Conn 48B Vocabell trumpet, noted for its extreme art-deco design. It has a rimless bell, hand engraving, hexagonal valve casings, inset water keys, and a number of other unique touches. It is fairly heavy and really projects well. One of the reviews I have found on this horn say: ''Probably one of the best playing, best looking horns that Conn built.
It feels more open than its .458 bore would suggest, yet has a great easy high range, a fat low range, and a dark centered tone. I don't think you can overblow it, it weighs as much as 2 horns (but has a great hand balance) and the kind of styling, craftsmanship and attention to detail that you just don't see anymore.'' This Conn trumpet comes in a velvet lined carrying case. The case is not marked. It has the original key. It fits nicely in the case, but we are not sure if it is the original or not. The trumpet also comes with a vintage Conn 4 marked mouth piece. There is some plating loss as you can see in the photos, and one very very small dent that you have to turn to the light to see. The tops of the key buttons are Mother of Pearl. Overall this is a great quality horn in good condition. Please email with any questions. Buyer to pay s/h/i.
