Antique 19th Century Flugelhorn

You are bidding on an antique flugelhorn from the 19th century, probably of European manufacture.  There is a shield on the bell (see picture) that is partially worn off, and it is hard to make out exactly what it says.



It has mechanical linkages, and all three valves can be depressed.  There is a tuning slide that can be pulled out for about 3 inches long for pitch adjustment.  All the braces are secure. There is a garland around the bell for reinforcement (see picture).  There are a few small dents in various places, but nothing that seems to interfere with playing the instrument.



The instrument has no case and comes without a mouthpiece.  The drum mallet pictured here is for sizing purposes only and is not included with the instrument for sale.

This item was listed originally last week with an error in the listing stating that shipping was free.  I have relisted the item with the correct shipping charges.
