This is a Selmer Signet Model BBb Fiberglass Sousaphone. The serial number is 450085. Comes with a Goose Neck and tuning Bit.

This auction does not include a case or mouthpiece but we do have used ones available for sale with sousaphone purchase. We have hard cases ($100-$150) and also fiberboard cases ($75) available. Shipping costs will be higher than you see in the shipping calculator if you purchase a case. Used mouthpieces are $30.


This vintage Selmer Fiberglass Sousaphone is in overall good condition and it  plays easily and sounds Wonderful!  The bell is 24'' in diameter and the bell collar is 6'' in diameter. The body is in good condition, it has been spray painted recently and looks nice. The  paint does have a few scratches and scuffs and some chips but nothing too bad.    The brass tubing has a few smaller dents and dings but overall good condition. There are a couple smaller dents on the ends of the smaller bows and one small brass patch. The brass tubing  has some lacquer wear and scratches as you can see in the pictures.     


 The valves are  free and they operate smoothly. The tuning slides are free. The mouthpiece
