This is a PROFESSIONAL BUESCHER trumpet from 1926.
It It is a ''TRUE-TONE'' Buescher Elkhart Indiana horn made at the time Mr. Buescher was the manager of the company.
This would have been their top of the line model as it is Silver plated and appears to have a gold wash on the bell.
The Engraving on this horn is amazing. There is engraving everywhere.
There is also a lever which I believe transposes the trumpet to an ''A'' model from the regular Bb.
There are signs of wear where the hands holding it have worn away some silver finish. Normal on a horn this old. The horn has been professionally cleaned(acid bath).
The lead pipe has been professionally replaced as the old one was quite bent. There is no engraving on the new lead-pipe (see pictures).
This not a model for a student. It is more of a collector's trumpet but still plays very well. The tone is not as big as a modern day Bach Strad but then what is?
The VALVES are amazingly light and fast. The pistons are free from tarnish and have 4 brass extensions to keep the valve in place. Modern trumpets use a two plastic extensions system.
This is an attention-getting trumpet. You rarely see one this fancy.
New spit valve rubbers.
This is a great horn for a collector or for a trumpet player wanting a vintage sound and look.
I hate to part with it.
It will be shipped in an old trumpet case but not the original Buescher one as I have never had it.
