This is a used, incredibly clean, Conn Constellation model 48H trombone with a

silver (chrome?) body with a brass laquered slide, both in near perfect condition. The slide is totaly smooth. Tne mouthpiece is a Vincent Bach 11C. The case is made by Diversified, and is also in excellent condition. The serial number is 841931, and my reference book says that it was made in 1960 to 1961. I have never seen an instrument of that vintage age in this condition!

I know this is a little bit after the fact now, seeing as how it was sold back on 08/05/08, and there’s probably not much I can do about it now, but... I’m 99.99% sure that this horn was a stolen horn!!!! I was just doing some research on prices for this model of horn today, because we're thinking of buying my son one of these as a high school graduation gift this year, so I typed in “Conn 48H prices” into my search engine, and your website popped up on the results list. I also currently play on this model horn. The horn you have in the picture is exactly like one that was stolen from the trunk of my car back on the evening of Saturday, 03/03/08 (in Temecula, CA). The horn I had had a case made of hard plastic, that looked like red anodized aluminum, that I bought from a guy named Mike (I don’t remember his last name) that I knew from playing with him at the Bones West group. And I had just bought a brand new Bach 11C mouthpiece for it at Anaheim Band Instruments that Saturday afternoon.
