This is a vintage Conn 3B trombone mouthpiece, which was likely purchased in the 1970s.
This mouthpiece was owned and used by my late father, Johnny Haig, who was a professional big band musician and band leader in Las Vegas from 1955 until his death in 2007. He played in all of the casino main showrooms as well as doing countless 'big band' gigs around the town. His 'relief band' played on the house band nights off, and it won the Las Vegas Orchestra of the Year award every year the award was given!
This mouthpiece was one of several we found in his collection after he passed. As we're not musicians, we'd like to offer it to people who might have a place in their collections for such interesting memorabilia!
The mouthpiece is in great condition, with only minor blemishes and scratches on the silver finish and a small nick at the insertion point.
